La Verna Teal Rosary

In 1213, Count Orlando Cattani, an Italian nobleman, gifted St. Francis a vast land and the mountain of La Verna in Tuscany, Italy. He regarded this site as an ideal sanctuary for reflection amid nature. Having met Francis in Assisi, Count Cattani wished for the Tuscan people to embrace the Franciscan lifestyle. The remote mountain and village offered a perfect refuge for penance and solitude. St. Francis and his followers established a monastery there and found silver deposits that supported their contemplative sanctuary. Our rosary features hand-cut, crystal-faceted Italian beads glazed with silver from Mount La Verna, carefully assembled by artisans from the nearby village.
