Prayers for Recovery

What I do I do not understand. For I do not do the good that I want, but I do what I hate. Every addicted person can identify with these words of Saint Paul from Romans 7:15-19 whether they are still in active addiction or in recovery. The road to addiction may have begun with regrettable decisions, but there comes a point where addiction literally takes control.
