In 1931 Saint Faustina, a young Polish nun, had a vision of Christ as the King of Mercy. In her Diary she recorded Jesus' message to the world urging trust in Him and mercy towards all. And at His instruction the saint directed the creation of a painting depicting this vision and message, the Divine Mercy.
