Is the Human Embryo a Person?: A Philosophical Investigation

Those devoted to protecting the unborn act on a belief that the child in the womb is a human person. Believing that passage from the womb does not change the infant from non-person to person, they presume that the developing fetus is a developing human being, just as the newly-born infant will continue to development to maturity, being a human being all the while. Advocates for abortion may challenge this position. To deal fairly and convincingly with these challenges requires a more thorough consideration of the issue. This book presents such a consideration.
