Our Lady of Lourdes and Saint Bernadette Carved Wood Statue

Hand-carved in Val Gardena, Italy, this sculpture captures the Marian apparition in a quiet, reverent embrace between the Virgin Mary and Saint Bernadette Soubirous.

Mary is depicted standing in serene dignity, while Bernadette kneels in humble prayer below her. The absence of facial detail draws attention to posture and gesture, expressing devotion, peace, and spiritual connection.

Soft ivory and cream tones are enhanced with subtle gold accents, while roses and the “Lourdes” inscription at the base reference the sacred site of the apparition.

Crafted using traditional Val Gardena techniques, each piece is carved from maple wood for smaller sizes and linden wood for larger formats, each carefully finished by hand.
