The Order of Baptism of Children is the authorized English edition of Ordo Baptismi Parvulorum, editio typica altera © 1986, adapted for use in Canada. It maintains the user-friendly structure and chapters of the prior edition while presenting all Blessing of Water options directly within the text. Psalm selections for procession singing and Gospel passages for Baptism without Mass are included, alongside expanded rubrics and texts for the Introductory Rites during Mass baptism. The ritual incorporates the Collect and Prayer after Communion for potential use in Ordinary Time, plus a Litany featuring Saints from Canada’s Liturgical Calendar. This comprehensive volume contains introductions and detailed rites covering multiple baptism scenarios, including baptisms without Mass, for several children, in the absence of clergy, and those in danger of death.
